Another One Bites the Dust

by brittney

One of my favorites things to do in my spare time is read blogs. I love culinary and interior design blogs but fashion really stands out for me, obviously. I have tons of favorites who inspire me in so many different ways so I figured why not showcase that here. Not too long ago one of my favorite bloggers, Franceta of Frantic Dreams, posted an outfit wearing a summer knit. It was perfect so, I decided to put my own spin on it! I’ve had this Cheap Monday sweater for over a year and didn’t really wear it much. The Lita has to be the most comfortable shoe in the world. They’re five inches of pure glory and I’m so happy I bought them. This outfit is pretty simple but again I wanted to put my touch on a look inspired by a flawless bitch.

AND I just so happen to be wearing yet another short skirt. Apparently, I’m not supposed to because it doesn’t suit my body type… whatthefuckever! Initially, I was going to make a video about this topic and I still may (if you guys wanna hear me curse for five minutes) but I got busy. I received the most annoying email informing me that ‘I didn’t have to wear short skirts or revealing clothes to showcase my confidence’. The person behind the email also went on to give me tips on how to become confident *long glare*. Bottom line, I like short skirts and I like my thighs and if you don’t I’m OK with that. I post pictures here to share what I’m wearing, give inspiration and get feedback. Opinions are welcome but what I don’t need is someone telling me how to dress. If you want to see bootcut jeans, a-line skirts, belted wrap dresses and other ugly shit this isn’t the blog for you.

Pink Matter

by brittney

From the moment I purchase this skirt from Forever 21 I’ve been itching to wear it. I spoke about it in my haul video, which didn’t give a proper depiction of it’s neon glory. I knew it would be the very thing that would break my ‘no body con’ streak but hell, I was running out of blog-able non body con looks. It was cute while at lasted but people I’m back to my trashy ways. I kid, I kid… not really. I’m sad to tell you guys that my camera was unable to REALLY show just how bright this skirt is; It literally glows. I threw in my favorite chambray shirt because I like the contrast and a peachy pink blazer because I believe hot pink and peach is an awesome combo. My favorite nude shoe from Topshop and an impossibly long ponytail finished the look.

Thoughts?

All Wrapped Up

by brittney

This Monif C dress is hands down one of my favorite and most cherished garments in my wardrobe. I’ve worn it a few times before and I love it more and more each time. It’s incredibly versatile with being able to convert damn near a million ways as a dress. On top of that it makes an amazing skirt as well. I’ve converted a Monif C dress to s skirt before, however it was a maxi and didn’t come close to looking as good as this. This look is so simple and so sexy. I love it!

A Year of Sequins!!!

by brittney

In celebration of my one year anniversary I decided to do my first video. it’s pretty much a haul video showing all of the things I purchased thus far for the upcoming summer months. This may be the most awkward thing you’ll see today because me and a video camera just don’t work well together. I tried really hard not to be a creeper on my first video but shit got real.

Mix Master

by brittney

I’ve wanted to mixed a striped garment with a floral piece for the longest but I never had the appropriate floral to make the look work. A few weeks ago I stumbled across this floral skirt while searching the racks at Forever 21. I knew right away that I needed to wear it with stripes, more specifically a smaller stripe. I added the black belt to create a bit of a separation between the two prints since they are both very much dominate. I wanted to keep everything else around this look simple so I opted into wear minimal accessories and a nude shoe. What prints do you plan on mixing up this summer?
