This outfit was an experiment as I let Christina have full reign of my wardrobe, which of course meant lots and lots of black. While it’s not something I would’ve picked myself, it’s not too far off from my usual style. My trusty moto jacket was paired with this longline bra from Torrid which I bought forever ago and is one of the best things they’ve ever produced. The midi skirt is from the ASOS main range and I love the contrast of the abstract print. To inject some fun, we colorblocked using this amazing chartreuse satchel and a pair of pink heels picked up from Nordstrom Rack. The finishing touch is this black rose headband (that I need to steal) from ASOS.

I know its been forever since I last updated buuut… I’m back! As usual the weather in Chicago is completely bi-polar and I’m enjoying the hell out of it. For the past week we’ve been experiencing temperatures in the high 40s and mid 50s and I know that gets a side-eye from those who live in warmer climates BUT in January we’re usually at temperatures below 0. Any who the weather change has allowed me to pull out my fave eBay score, the leather jacket, and wear it without risking freezing to death. I got the ‘dress’ about a year ago from ASOS and was less the unimpressed when I tried it on and saw that it barely covered the top of my ass. So I turned it into a a winter tunic… yeah. All in all it was a casual day filled with errands.

Last week I finally got the chance to wear my amazing silk skirt from eShakti. I wore it to the Boom In The Trunk event organized by Tiffany and I have to say it was perfect for the occasion. This leather jacket is easily the best thing I’ve ever gotten from eBay! I love the contrast of the soft, flowy skirt mixed with the heavy, industrial jacket. This may be my favorite look that I’ve posted thus far.

I’m so happy to have met the other bloggers in attendance as well as the many readers. Tiffany put together such an amazing and well organized event. Kudos to her!!! All in all I met tons of people, danced obnoxiously to Samwell and had a few margaritas… making it a perfect night!

I’m sure you guys have noticed that you haven’t been able to add comments. I’m working on solving that issue… so hopefully by the next time I post you guys will be able to comment. Anywho…

A few weeks ago on Tumblr I posted a picture of Gretchen (Last seasons’ Project Runway winner) wearing an orange and green ensemble. I can’t stand the girl ( mainly because she beat Mondo) but I loved the way she wore those colors together. Both colors have an amazing richness and easily represent Autumn so why not put them together?! The pants are an $8 score from Ebay and the blouse is from Dorothy Perkins. And of course I’m wearing my favorite Topshop shoes which go with virtually EVERYTHING!

I can’t wait to play around with more color blocking this Fall!
